Every transfer runs in a Mercedes with a professional driver at the wheel.
The question worth answering is not which badge is on the bonnet: it is
whether your luggage, your skis and your family all travel in one car.
Two sizes
One vehicle up to 7, a minibus above
We do not run a catalogue. We run the two sizes that cover an airport
transfer: the seven-seat minivan for families and small groups, the
minibus for everyone else.
1 to 7 passengers
Mercedes V-Class or similar
The car that does almost every run on this site. Three rows of seats,
a boot that swallows a family's worth of luggage, and enough head
height that nobody arrives folded in half after two hours of
motorway and mountain road.
Up to 7 passengers, one fixed price for all of them
Up to 7 large suitcases with the seats not all taken
Skis and bulky items quoted separately
Winter tyres from November to April, chains on board
Child seats on request, €30 each
8 passengers and above
Mercedes Sprinter or similar
When the group outgrows the minivan. Standing height inside, a
separate luggage compartment instead of a boot, and room for the
kind of load that a ski group or a cruise party actually turns up
with.
From 8 passengers upward
Up to 16 large suitcases, plus ski bags
Same winter equipment as the minivan
Quoted per group, not from the fixed price list
Tell us how many of you there are and where you are going: we reply
with one all-inclusive figure, the same way we do for every other
transfer.
The honest answer
Passengers and luggage compete for the same space
Every transfer company publishes a seat count and a case count as if
they were independent. They are not: the third row of a minivan sits
where the suitcases would go. So here is how we actually decide.
You tell us the bags
The request form asks for suitcases, hand luggage and ski bags
separately, because they take up very different amounts of room.
We pick the vehicle
Six passengers with two cabin bags travel in the minivan. Six
passengers with six large cases and skis do not, so we send the
minibus instead.
The price does not move
Within 1 to 7 passengers the published figure is the figure, whichever of the two
we end up sending.
Nothing is left behind
Golf bags, pushchairs, wheelchairs, a dog in a carrier: tell us in
the form and we plan for it rather than discover it at arrivals.
Quick answers
Vehicles and luggage
How many suitcases fit in a Mercedes V-Class?
Up to 7 large suitcases when the car is not full of passengers. With all 7 seats taken the boot holds fewer, which is why the request form asks how many bags you are carrying: we would rather send a bigger vehicle than leave a case on the pavement.
What happens if we are more than 7 passengers?
We move you to a Mercedes Sprinter, or to two vehicles travelling together, whichever works out better for your group. Larger groups are quoted individually rather than from the fixed price list, so tell us the numbers and we come back with one all-inclusive figure.
How are skis and snowboards charged?
Separately from the transfer. Tell us how many pieces when you book and the price you receive already covers them, with nothing added on the day.
Are the vehicles equipped for the Dolomites in winter?
Winter tyres from November through April and chains on board, which is what the law on the mountain passes requires. The drivers who run Cortina and Val Gardena do it every week of the season, not once a year.
Can you fit child seats?
Yes, on request, at €30 per seat. Tell us the ages of the children when you send the request: the seat that is right for a three-year-old is the wrong one for a seven-year-old, and availability is checked before we confirm.
Is the price different depending on the vehicle?
The published price covers 1 to 7 passengers in the same vehicle: two people and six people going to Cortina pay the same. Above that the vehicle changes and so does the quote.
Tell us what you are carrying
Give us the group, the bags and the date, and a real person comes
back with one all-inclusive price and the vehicle that fits it.
