About 2 hours 45 minutes door-to-door. Most of the journey is motorway; the final climb into the valley on the SS242 takes roughly 30 minutes. Selva, at the head of the valley, is about 15 minutes beyond Ortisei.
No. The valley has no railway station. The nearest stations are Chiusa/Klausen and Bolzano, and from there you still need a bus or taxi up the valley with your ski bags. A private transfer takes you from the aircraft door to your hotel entrance in one leg.
Including the options that cost less than us. With luggage or a group the private transfer wins on time and hassle; travelling alone on a budget, public transport is a fair call.

A real person checks your request and replies by email, 08:00 to 18:00 CET. You secure the booking by paying in advance, and the vehicle is held for you. Send us your flight number and we track it: the pickup shifts automatically if you land early or late.
Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a name sign, takes the luggage and walks you to the car.

The valley road links the three villages in about 15 minutes end to end, so we charge one fixed price for all of them. Tell us the exact hotel or apartment and we drive to the door, including the hamlets above Ortisei.
Val Gardena is Gröden in German and Gherdëina in Ladin. Hotel names and addresses often appear in more than one language. Send us the booking confirmation as it is and we will work out the address.

Tell us how many pieces when booking so we assign a vehicle with the space: a full car with seven passengers and seven ski bags needs a Sprinter, not a V-Class.
From November to April every vehicle runs winter tyres and carries chains, as required on the SS242. The valley road is cleared early and our drivers work it daily through the season.
In practice you cannot take one. Venice taxis do not run the 200 km up to the Gardena valley, and a metered fare over a mountain pass is a number nobody can tell you in advance. Our price is €720 fixed, agreed before you fly and unchanged whatever the traffic does.
No. Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva are all €720. The valley road between them adds only a few minutes and we do not price it separately.
Yes, always. Skis and bulky items are quoted separately. Just tell us the number of pieces so we send a vehicle with enough room.
We track it and move the pickup automatically. Waiting time at Venice Airport is free. Your driver will be at arrivals with your name sign whenever you land.
Yes. Alta Badia, Arabba, Canazei and Val di Fassa are all regular runs from Venice Airport. Ask us for a fixed price for the exact village.
